Usually, there are sales or new products when a brand has an anniversary. But the HONOR Malaysia 5th anniversary party went in a different direction. The company decided to honor the people who helped it grow over the past five years instead of just focusing on technology.

HONOR launched the HONOR of Malaysia Awards at a gala event in Kuala Lumpur. The awards are meant to recognize inspiring people and communities across the country.

The party showed that the brand believes that people who use and support the technology are the ones who make it work and succeed.

Five Years of Growth in Malaysia

HONOR has become one of the best brands of smartphones and tablets in the country in just five years. Company data shows that the brand had the largest share of smartphone and tablet sales in Malaysia in the fourth quarter of 2025.

This growth happened in a very competitive tech market where big brands from around the world are still trying to get people’s attention.

Justin Li, who is the president of HONOR South Pacific, said that the trip was short but important. He said that the company’s growth was helped by both new ideas from inside the company and feedback from Malaysian users.

Students, mobile photographers, and local beta testers all played a part in shaping and improving HONOR’s products and features. Their comments from the real world helped make the overall experience better for everyone.

HONOR gave out eight awards to people who had made important contributions during the gala. The Super Supporter Award, the Beta Excellence Award, the Tech Consultant King, and the Photographer of the Year were among these.

Starting the HONOR of Malaysia Awards

The best part of the night was the start of the HONOR of Malaysia Awards, which is a long-term corporate social responsibility program.

Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Teo Nie Ching and HONOR South Pacific President Justin Li opened the project.

The goal of the program is to honor Malaysians who do important things for their communities but don’t get much attention from the public.

The program doesn’t just focus on technological achievements; it also celebrates kindness, service, and strength.

Honoring the Everyday Heroes of Malaysia

The first three people to get the HONOR of Malaysia Award were all Malaysians who inspired others.

  • Since 2016, Mohd Adli Yahya, who started the Autism Cafe Project, has helped more than 100 autistic people by giving them jobs and training.
  • Cikgu Prakash, a teacher who can’t see, has been traveling by train across the Klang Valley for 16 years to teach students Bahasa Melayu and Sejarah.
  • Mak Jah (Siti Normala Adrus) runs a small food stall where students can get free meals every Tuesday and cheap RM3 nasi campur.

Their stories show what the award program is all about. Through hard work and compassion, each of them has made their communities better.

Telling Malaysian Stories to the World

HONOR also started a National Photography Tour as part of the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign, in addition to the awards program.

The program encourages photographers to use mobile photography to show off Malaysia’s landscapes, culture, and daily life.

Some of the best photos from Malaysian photographers will be on display at the HONOR Global Exhibition 2026. People from all over the world can see their work at this event.

HONOR Malaysia’s official social media accounts will post information about how to apply for the photography program.

Moving Forward Together With Technology And Community

The 5th anniversary of HONOR Malaysia is more than just a business milestone. It also shows how tech companies can connect with communities in ways other than selling them things.

The company wants to draw attention to stories that inspire good change through events like the HONOR of Malaysia Awards and the upcoming photography tour.

HONOR is growing in Malaysia, and the brand is positioning itself as a technology provider and a place where people can celebrate creativity, community, and shared progress.
