For many families and care homes in Malaysia, daily tasks like doing laundry can quietly add up to time, cost, and stress. This is often the case for homes that care for children and individuals with special needs.

That’s where dobiQueen steps in.

As part of its latest CSR effort, the company is giving free laundry services to 30 homes in the Klang Valley. The help will last for three months, which will make things a little easier for these communities.

Launched during Ramadan, the initiative also reflects the spirit of giving, while tying in with the message of empowerment highlighted during International Women’s Day.

More Than Just Clean Clothes

At first glance, laundry may seem like a small thing. But for many care homes, it is a constant and costly responsibility.

With so many children living in institutions across Malaysia, it can be challenging to meet all basic needs. While food and shelter are usually prioritised, daily essentials like laundry still take time, effort, and resources.

By stepping in to handle this, dobiQueen is not just offering a service, it is giving these homes more time and energy to focus on care, education, and emotional support.

The Hidden Weight of Care Work

Behind many households and care centres are women managing unpaid responsibilities every day.

These tasks, like cooking, cleaning, and taking care of others, are often overlooked but are a big part of daily life. In fact, these responsibilities keep a lot of women in Malaysia from working.

This is why practical help is important.

This CSR project and others like it may seem easy, but they really do help. When caregivers have fewer daily responsibilities, they can focus more on their health and future opportunities.

A Bigger Picture Behind the Initiative

This effort is not a one-off activity. It reflects how dobiQueen has been building its role beyond just a service provider.

Over the years, the company has worked with different organisations to support single mothers, refugee communities, and individuals from lower-income groups. These collaborations often focus on creating income opportunities and helping people build skills.

At the same time, dobiQueen has also taken steps internally by hiring individuals from these communities and offering stable job opportunities.

One example is its support programme for single parents, where employees can receive extra monthly incentives based on performance.

Small Support, Real Impact

Not every initiative needs to be large to make a difference.

Even little things can make a big difference. When everyday tasks take up less time, cost, and energy, people can focus on more important things.

In this situation, clean clothes become a symbol of care, respect, and support.
