Health Summit Asia 2026 (HSA2026) concluded in Kuala Lumpur after three days of discussions, exhibitions, and business engagement focused on the future of healthcare and wellness across Asia.
The event brought together healthcare providers, MedTech companies, wellness brands, investors, and policymakers from across the region. More than a showcase of products and services, the summit highlighted ASEAN’s growing importance as a healthcare and innovation hub.
Building on this year’s success, organisers have announced that Health Summit Asia 2027 will return from 5 to 7 May 2027 with a new ASEAN Market Access initiative aimed at helping businesses explore opportunities across Southeast Asia.
Held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, HSA2026 attracted more than 100 exhibitors, over 40 regional and international speakers, and thousands of visitors from across the healthcare and wellness ecosystem.
Participants travelled from Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, China, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Denmark. The strong international presence reflected growing interest in ASEAN’s healthcare market and increasing demand for integrated healthcare, digital health, preventive wellness, and MedTech solutions.
As healthcare systems across the region continue to evolve, industry players are looking for new ways to collaborate, expand, and address changing healthcare needs. Events such as HSA2026 provide a platform where those conversations can take place.
One of the major outcomes of the summit was the facilitation of more than 270 structured business matching meetings throughout the three-day event.
The sessions connected healthcare providers, innovators, distributors, investors, and wellness companies seeking new partnerships and growth opportunities across the region. For many participants, these meetings offered direct access to potential collaborators and new markets.
Cross-border engagement has become increasingly important as healthcare businesses look beyond domestic markets. The strong participation at HSA2026 demonstrated growing interest in regional partnerships that can support long-term expansion and innovation.
A key announcement during the summit was the launch of a dedicated ASEAN Market Access initiative for Health Summit Asia 2027.
According to Qube Integrated Malaysia Executive Chairman Richard Teo, the strong response to HSA2026 highlighted the need for more structured pathways to regional expansion and business collaboration. He said the summit had created meaningful momentum through conversations, partnerships, and innovation across healthcare and wellness sectors.
The new initiative aims to help exhibitors better understand Southeast Asia’s healthcare landscape while creating more opportunities to connect with partners, distributors, and stakeholders across the region. It is expected to become a major feature of next year’s event as companies seek practical guidance on entering new ASEAN markets.
Conference sessions throughout HSA2026 explored some of the most significant trends shaping healthcare today.
Topics included AI-powered diagnostics and treatment, smart ageing, preventive healthcare, digital health transformation, and the growing silver economy. Sessions focusing on artificial intelligence and ageing populations attracted particularly strong interest from delegates.
On the exhibition floor, companies showcased a wide range of healthcare innovations, including:
The technologies on display highlighted how digital tools and innovation are becoming increasingly important in delivering accessible and efficient healthcare services.
Another notable programme was The Malaysian Care Ecosystem Seminar & Stakeholder Consultation, which brought together stakeholders from government, healthcare, academia, and community organisations.
The session was attended by Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, YB Dato’ Sri Hajah Nancy Shukri, and focused on strengthening Malaysia’s long-term care ecosystem.
Jointly organised by the ministry, the National Council of Women’s Organisations, and Universiti Malaya’s Faculty of Medicine, discussions centred on caregiver training, professional certification, and stronger industry collaboration. These efforts are becoming increasingly important as ageing populations create new demands on healthcare and social care systems.
Under the theme “Discover. Connect. Collaborate.”, HSA2026 reinforced Malaysia’s role as a meeting point for healthcare dialogue, innovation, and business engagement.
The summit combined policy discussions, technology showcases, networking opportunities, and investment conversations under one platform. This created an environment where stakeholders could exchange ideas while exploring future opportunities across ASEAN.
As healthcare continues to evolve, regional platforms such as Health Summit Asia are playing an increasingly important role in connecting businesses, institutions, and innovators working towards shared healthcare goals.
