CelcomDigi has unveiled a dynamic short film that brings the power of ultra-fast 5G connectivity to life. Rather than explaining the technology through technical jargon, the company chose to demonstrate it through action.

Titled “An Epic Showcase of 5G,” the film features two of Malaysia’s world-class athletes Soh Wai Ching, the world’s No. 1 towerrunner, and Qabil Irfan, FIM MiniGP World Champion and rising motorsports star. Together, they take part in a synchronised challenge where precision timing ultimately determines the outcome.

In the showcase, Soh Wai Ching sprints up 106 floors of Exchange 106 where he recently set a Malaysia Book of Records milestone to hit a buzzer. At the same time, Qabil Irfan races along a track toward a narrowing gate. If the buzzer is pressed in time, the gate remains open. However, if there is even the slightest delay, the gate closes. Through this high-stakes scenario, the film highlights how speed, accuracy, and connectivity must work seamlessly together.

According to CelcomDigi’s Head of Brand and Marketing Services, Chan May Ling, the initiative aims to help Malaysians better understand what real-time responsiveness truly looks like. In addition, it reflects how 5G enhances mission-critical operations, remote work, streaming, gaming, and everyday digital experiences.

Meanwhile, CelcomDigi continues to strengthen its network leadership. With 20.5 million customers already provisioned for 5G, the company has expanded seamless connectivity while maintaining strong 4G performance. As a result, adoption continues to grow steadily across the country.

Beyond consumer connectivity, CelcomDigi is also driving enterprise digital transformation. Businesses across agriculture, logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, and energy are leveraging 5G-enabled and AI-powered solutions to improve efficiency and unlock new opportunities. Ultimately, these efforts support Malaysia’s transition toward a 5G-AI digital society.
